Dr. Brad Katz
Dr. Katz is a professor of ophthalmology and visual sciences at the John A Moran Eye Center, University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. He holds adjunct appointments in the University’s Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery.

In addition to the clinical and surgical care of patients, Dr. Katz is responsible for training medical students, residents, and fellows.
Dr. Katz’s primary research interests include photophobia (abnormal light sensitivity) and diseases associated with photophobia, primarily migraine. Dr. Katz has published and lectured widely on these subjects, including an invited review that appeared in the prestigious journal, Survey of Ophthalmology. Dr. Katz holds two patents regarding the use of optical and nanoparticle filters for the treatment of light sensitivity.
In addition to his role at Pherin, Dr. Katz is CEO of Axon Optics, LLC, a company that develops, manufactures, and sells eyewear for the treatment of photophobia associated with migraine and other light-sensitive conditions.
